MUDFESTRACEAugust 14 @ 9:30am7140 Jeddo Rd.
Jeddo, MI 48032OFFICIAL WEBSITE: www.mudfestrace.com
RACE DESCRIPTIONIt’s for all fitness levels. Remember, half of the race is spent on a bike! It is trail running and mountain biking mixed with some obstacles. The race features approximately a 5-6 mile course and 5 check points where you will complete an obstacle. At the start of the race, one team member will run and one will ride the bike. Each segment is approx. 1 mile. If you start as the biker, you will bike to the first obstacle, do the obstacle (maybe the giant slide) and then start running to the second obstacle. Your partner eventually gets to the first obstacle, does the obstacle, then finds your bike and heads out to the next obstacle passing you on the way. This goes back and forth like this until the end where you wait for each other and do the Gauntlet together.
The Guantlet is a 75 yards obstacle course full of crazy obstacles and challenges ending with a giant MUD PIT that you crawl through together.

BANG! The starting gun blasts and the biker pedals off. Shortly after, the second blast sounds and the runner begins running. Both biker and runner are heading toward the first checkpoint where the first obstacle awaits. Obviously, the biker will reach it first and he/she will drop the bike, complete the obstacle, and then begin running to check point two. When the runner arrives at Checkpoint one he/she will complete the obstacle and then jump on the bike (left by his/her partner) and head toward checkpoint two. This process will repeat until both partners reach the Gauntlet. The gauntlet is a sequence of challenges ending in the MUDPIT. Both partners must complete the Gauntlet and cross the finish line together.
